I was lucky enough to get a chance to visit Ukraine before conditions in the country deteriorated. While Ukraine may not be a typical tourist destination, it offers a unique appeal for those seeking an authentic cultural experience.
Kyiv, the capital city, has a number of beautiful cathedrals and monasteries along with various landmarks such as the Ukrainian Motherland Monument. There is even a war Museum where captured Russian military gear is displayed. Kyiv stands out as both an immensely enjoyable and relatively affordable destination to visit.
